There is always that one dog that catches your heartstrings. Goldie is mine. She has been a show off since she was a little puppy. When she started her show career she would sit outside of the ring and whine because she thought she should be the one in the ring having all the fun and not any of the others. She has won numerous puppy awards and was Best Sporting Puppy at the 2004 Detroit Kennel Club Show. As an adult she has won numerous Best Bred By Exhibitor Awards. Because she is a red bitch she's had lots of time off because of a lack of coat issue that is very common in these red bitches. She got her first major (4 points) in October of 2005 going Best of Breed over Specials and was only one dog short of a five point major. And she got her last major in Oct 2006 at the same show as last year to finish. |
