Richy is my first black & tan English Cocker. His tan markings are that rich
mahogany color. He is a "mama's boy" and follows me everywhere. I asked his
breeder, Barbara Heckerman, if she would take him to American Spaniel Club 2007
for me as I couldn't go. She did, and I also went as my plans got changed. So I got
to see him win Reserve Best in Sweeps under breeder judge, Deborah Mason.
**At 16 months old Richy just needs his majors to finish.
***Richy is now 20 months old and we are major hunting. He has won some
RWD placements to a couple major wins over the spring and summer. They
are very hard to find!
****At the Heart of Michigan English Cocker Spaniel Club Specialties, the
weekend of Sept. 8 & 9 2007, Richy placed both days entered in the Open
Solid Dog class. On that Sunday he won his class over the dog that went
Winners the day before under breeder judge, Nancy Gallant. See his picture
above.
****At the ECSCA National show the week of April 13, 2008, Richy was
awarded 4th place in the Open Solid class with stiff competition. It is
Brandilyn English Cocker's first National placement and we are very proud of
it! There were over 400 English Cockers entered in this show. We had a
great time seeing a great bunch of dogs representing this breed well!
